Overview
The city of Carrizo Springs is located approximately 2 hours southwest of San Antonio, TX. During the summer, the community experiences some of the highest temperatures in the state. The one place in town where people can experience relief from this heat is the community swimming pool. Last June, the city decided to renovate the entire pool by resurfacing its interior. As part of this renovation, Carizzo Springs hired Commercial Restroom Partitions to install restroom partitions in the men’s and women’s restrooms.
Background
When we arrived on June 15th, the temperature was 106 degrees. As we were the last crew scheduled for the construction project, we were the only ones onsite. With only ourselves to rely upon, we had the job completed without error by the end of the next day.
Location of Dressing Rooms
The dressing rooms are located on either side of the concession entrance to the pool area. Each restroom has bathroom is designed with bathroom stalls on the left and changing stalls on the right. Users pass through the restroom and dressing areas to the pool on the other side.
Installation Details
Women’s Restroom
There is a continuous bench that runs across the length of the changing area. We installed partitions to create private changing areas in the women’s restroom. To save money on construction costs, we used antimicrobial curtains to make these changing stalls private.
On the other side of the room, we installed two two ADA compliant toilet stalls. Due to the narrow width of the room, the stalls were too shallow for in swing doors. We had to reverse hinge the doors so they would swing outward to open.
Men’s Restroom
In the men’s restroom, we built one toilet stall and hung one urinal screen between the sink and the urinal. There were no changing rooms in the men’s restroom.
Equipment Details
Bathroom stalls in both the men’s and women’s restroom were solid phenolic, dark blue in color. Partitions measured 82” high and were floor mounted, overhead braced. Panels and doors were standard 55 inches high.
The urinal screen in the men’s room was also solid phenolic and the same color as the toilet partitions. It measured 24 inches wide and 42 inches high.
Women’s changing rooms were built with shower partitions that also measured 82 inches high. They, too, were floor mounted, overhead braced. Curtain tracks and antimicrobial shower curtains were used to create privacy.
Why Commercial Restroom Partitions
As a turnkey installation contractor, we believe in making things easy on our customers even if that means making things hard on ourselves. This was one of those times. When the order was jeopardized by logistical challenges with the freight company, we took the initiative to deliver the equipment ourselves. Our foreman went to the carrier hub and picked up the partitions and accessories himself. He then drove them and our installation crew to the location. You can count on us to do the same for you. Call us now to schedule your next shower stall or restroom partition installation.
