Essentially, you have two basic types of shower fixtures.  The first is the column shower, which mounts to the floor and is fed by pipes plumbed in the concrete beneath.  The other type is the wall mounted shower fixture, which mounts to the wall and draws water from pipes plumbed into the wall of the building.

Both column showers and wall mounted showers can accommodate either a single user or multiple users, depending on the model you select.  However, the cost of installation varies between the two based upon the design and age of your building.  Some buildings are less expensive to add plumbing to the floor, while others are the exact opposite.
