Commercial Shower Stall Configurations are Built Around Two Specific Types of Fixtures

Regardless of the number of users a specific model shower fixture is designed to service, there are only 2 basic ways to mount a shower assembly.

Wall Mounted

• Individual or group
• Mount to the wall
• Supplied by pipes plumbed in the wall

Floor Mounted (Column)

• Individual or Group
• Mount to the Floor
• Sometimes called “Column Showers”
• Supplied by pipes plumbed in the floor

It is a good idea to consult with Restroompartitions.com Locker design team before you decide on wall mounted or floor mounted shower fixtures.  The determining factor is the cost of plumbing the wall versus plumbing the floor.  The number of users you intend to service, combined with your total square footage and shower room wall surfaces, are also factors that our design team can assess to produce the most cost effective and efficient recommendation for the configuration of your commercial shower stalls.

There are 3 Ways we can Design Your Shower Arrays

Circular Shower Partitions

• Used with column showers
• Create individual enclosures for each user the fixture is designed to accommodate
• Can be semi-private (open-ended) or fully private (shower curtains or doors)

Wall Mounted Stalls

• Can be configured around single user wall mounted fixtures
• Can be used to divide group shower assemblies into individual enclosures
• Very cost effective because they can be build with only 2 panels each and an optional shower curtain and shower rod

Cubicle Shower Partitions

• Can be built around wall mounted fixtures
• Two Station Privacy Shower Design Two Station Privacy Shower Configuration
• Typically built around 2 user column showers
• Full enclosure with end panel, 2 panel walls, and typically a stall door
• Best space utilization per user curve for smaller facilities

Commercial Shower Partitions Must be Impervious to Moisture

The best materials to use for panels and doors are solid plastic or phenolic core.  Both will cause water to bead and harmlessly evaporate.  Neither requires painting or repainting, and both are impact and vandal resistant.  Phenolic core is more expensive because it is GREENGUARD Certified, oil resistant, and bacteria resistant.
